Richard Rothstein, a leading authority on housing policy, will discuss his book The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How our Government Segregated America. Rothstein’s work is a groundbreaking investigation into how US governments in the twentieth century deliberately imposed racial segregation on metropolitan areas nationwide.
Rothstein is a senior fellow at the Haas Institute at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Rothstein is also a distinguished fellow of the Economic Policy Institute and a senior fellow, emeritus at the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Previously, he was the national education columnist for The New York Times.
